The short version

This is a personal professional website. I don't collect personal data beyond basic analytics, and even that only happens if you explicitly consent.

Who I am

Lars-Olov Persson, operating as FlexIT. Based in Sweden. I am the data controller under GDPR for any data processed through this site. Contact: lars@flexit.tech

What data I collect

If you accept analytics cookies, I collect basic usage data through Google Analytics: page views, session duration, approximate location at country level, and device/browser type. No names, no email addresses, no personal identifiers.

The “Get In Touch” links open your own email client. I never see your email address unless you choose to send me a message.

Why I collect it

To understand which content is useful. To see if anyone actually reads the Field Notes. That is it.

Cookies

Full details on which cookies this site uses are in the Cookie Policy. In short: analytics cookies from Google, only loaded after you consent.

Legal basis

Consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). Analytics cookies only load after you click Accept. If you decline or ignore the banner, no tracking happens.

Data sharing

Google, as the analytics provider. No other third parties. No advertising. No data selling. Ever.

Data retention

Google Analytics default retention is 14 months. IP anonymisation is enabled, so your full IP address is never stored.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection.

In practice, since I only collect anonymised analytics data, there is not much personal data to exercise these rights against. But if you have concerns, email me at lars@flexit.tech and I will help.
